About The Role

The role is designed with a clear development outcome: the successful candidate will build practical SAP capability through structured training, shadowing, and supported delivery, then become a more confident, informed SAP user — improving local productivity, adoption, and data quality.

Main Responsibilities

SAP Business Systems Support (Primary Focus)

  • Provide 1st‑line support across SAP modules including Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI), escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Carry out controlled SAP changes and updates (e.g. master data updates, transactional support) with guidance and supervision. • Investigate issues, document findings clearly, and support resolution in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Maintain accurate ticket updates and user communications.

Integration & Data Support

  • Support data related activities, including reviewing and validating data mappings, supporting testing, and documenting data flows and outcomes.
  • Assist with data preparation and validation to support integrations and system changes.

Project & Change Support

  • Assist the Business Systems Manager on transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support projects by preparing and validating data, assisting with testing and cutover activities, and documenting decisions, processes, and outcomes.
  • Balance project support with business‑as‑usual activity to ensure continuity.

Knowledge Capture & Continuity

  • Document As‑Is and To‑Be processes, working with the team to ensure knowledge is retained.
  • Capture learning from shadowing and walkthroughs so work can be picked up by others if required.
  • Contribute to improving the team’s documentation and handover materials.

Personal Development

  • Actively engage in training, coaching, and self‑development to build SAP and business systems capability.
  • Manage and own your professional development in order to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.

About You

Essential

  • Experience using SAP as an end user (e.g. raising purchase orders, running reports, processing transactions) or working in a team that directly supports SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to document work thoroughly.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence to ask questions and escalate early.
  • Ability to prioritise, work within defined guardrails, and manage competing demands.
  • Familiarity with ticket‑based support workflows.

Desirable (Training Will Be Provided)

  • Exposure to SAP PP, MM, SD or FI modules.
  • Understanding of how data flows between systems (e.g. EDI, APIs, master data).
  • Experience supporting testing, change activities, or UAT cycles.
  • Interest in developing a career in SAP or enterprise systems.
